Cape Point is an incredible place just 70 km from Cape Town. The scenery at Cape Point is truly spectacular; white-sand beaches, rugged cliffs, dramatic drops, bizarre rock formations, fynbos vegetation, etc. The wildlife at the park is quite impressive; ostriches, different antelopes, mongooses, zebras, tortoises, dolphins, and even whales in the season, Cape Point is a perfect place to do some hiking. We depart from Cape Town and travel to Cape Point via Chapmans peak drive, an early start sees us arriving at the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve to start our circle hike from the old Cape Point lighthouse. We will make our way inland from the ocean to Vasco Da Gama peak and cross the strandveldt vegetation to Platboom bay from where we will circle back along the coast pass Maclears beach, the Caep of Good Hope , Dias beach and eventually back up to our starting point. A 3 – 4hour hike with a couple of strenous uphill climbs it includes a variety of views, fauna and flora and coastal habitats, one of the best hikes to do in the Southern Peninsula. After our hike we will travel to Simons town fro lunch and then have an opion of visiting the African penguins at Bolders beach .
